Georgian Under 18’s Move Ahead to European Championship Semifinal

16-Apr-2011

Georgian Under 18 team defeated Russia 38 to 3 in the European Under 18 Championship Division A quarterfinal. The Russians were the first to score a penalty in the beginning of the match, but after this the Georgians did not leave them the slightest chance to progress. Our team clearly had the upper hand in every aspect of the game: lineouts, scrummage, rucking, passing. Apart from large score margin, we are proud to acknowledge our Under 18s’ consistent, skillful performance, based on coordinated efforts of forwards and backs.
