Rugby fans can now buy World Cup jerseys


The official jersey, which the “Lelos” will wear at 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand is now in stock.

The replica jerseys (i.e. duplicate versions of authentic team shirt) produced by Australian sports apparel company KooGa can now be purchased at LTD Georgian Rugby’s “Rugby World” shop (address: 197, D. Agmashenebeli Ave.), as well as in Master Sport shops for 160 Laris.

Georgian team has already played in KooGa jerseys in European Nations Cup and now ‘Lelos’ will appear at the 2011 World Cup in their shirts.

KooGa was established in 1999 and has quickly achieved popularity in the world of rugby.

The official jerseys of such teams as British Army and Royal Navy, as well as of England (15 and 13 sides), Wales, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan have been produced by KooGa.

Apart from Georgia, the teams of Australia, Tonga, Fiji, Canada, and Romania will also wear KooGa shirts at this world cup.

The new World Cup jerseys were introduced to Georgia on March 11, at “Courtyard Marriot” by national team players – Shalva Sutiashvili and Irakli Abuseridze.

Two kinds of kits are available: a home shirt is red with white down the sides, and similarly the away shirt is white with red lining. The chest area is filled with various emblems – the Georgian Rugby Union badge on the left, the Rugby World Cup logo on the right, and the KooGa logo below the collar, while the Georgian flag is placed on both sleeves.
