Shevardeni stadium hosted 2011 Rugby Sevens championship finals held on December 3-4 in Tbilisi. “Army” triumphed in their extremely successful debut year, also becoming the champions of Georgia and claiming the “Liberty Cup”.

The eight teams with the best rating points entered the final stage. As anticipated no one managed to confront the original favorites - “Army”. “Locomotive” came close in the semi-finals, but still fell - 5:19. In the final game “Army” played against “Batumi”, which have previously beaten “Kochebi” by three points - 17:14. Notably, both teams listed very young line-ups in the final. Alexandre Tuchashvili from “Army” was named a top try scorer, while the title of the best player went to Giorgi Shkinin, also from “Army”.
