Besides the Ukrainian Clubs, the tournament featured women rugby 7ns national teams from Georgia and Kazakhstan. Georgian side has occupied the third place after losing only to the tournament hosts RC “Otrada” and the Kazakhstan National team.

Amsterdam Sevens took place on 18th and 19th of May, where apart from IRB Sevens women series there was an international competition. The Georgian National Women Sevens Team occupied 5th place among the 16 teams.

“From the sporting point of view, I would like to say that we have bound team and the girls are formed and professional athletes. The girls are well disciplined and follow the athletic lifestyle, which is not expressed only in practice, but also in correct nutrition and regime. I want to underline that they are a very friendly team. They stand by each other on and off the field. I think that working with them should be great honor for any couch.”

“One can really experience that colossal work that was done by the previous head couch – Paliko Jimsheladze and I want to express my gratitude for that, as I have well trained, professional side.

Of course, there are a number of aspects of the game which needs to be worked on. For example, fast and flaw less racking. Odessa and Amsterdam tournaments were greatly important for assessment.” Said Jaba Malaguradze – The Head Couch of Georgian Women national Sevens Team.

 European Championship

"On June 8-9 we are having great exam to pass ahead. We are going to the Fira Aer Women European championship Division A tournament in Prague. None of the teams would be an easy opposition for us, but I would highlight Romani and Switzerland.  Our minimal goal would be to stay in a Division, but our main goal is to qualify for the Gran Prix Series, which will only be possible if we gain the First or the Second position at the tournament.”  Said Ana Pogosyan – the captain of Lady Lelos.
