The Lelos' preparations for the match against Spain

01-Mar-2014

Last Saturday Georgia and Romania booked their places for England 2015 by beating Russia and Spain at home. This will be the fourth straight RWC appearance for The Lelos.

But the goal is not achieved yet – It has not been yet determined which of these two teams will gain the Europe 1 and Europe 2 tittles. All will be clear on March 15th, when teams meet in Tbilisi, at Meskhi Stadium for the final fixture of ENC 2014/RWCQ 2015 – The ENC winner will join Pool C and the runners up will find itself at Pool D.

“Italy and the others in the group are beatable but we would have to play very well to have to beat these teams.

“I think for us it doesn’t really matter which group we go into, but for me personally it would be very good to play against New Zealand in the Millennium Stadium.” Said Lynn Howells, Romania’s Welsh Head Coach (Quote from rugbyworldcup.com – Romania target two wins at England 2015).

Before that, teams will have to play another ENC 2014 round on March the 8th  – The Lelos will play away in Madrid against Spain and Romania will host Belgium.

"The match against Spain will be a good test for us. We lost the last time we played in Madrid and the Spanish team celebrating like they had won the World Cup is still fresh I'm my memory. We need to right that wrong next week and prove to the Spanish public and to ourselves that that result was a hiccup and now normal business has resumed, which means we play well and to our standards and the result will take care of itself. Nothing else will be acceptable“ – Said Milton Haig.
