First warm up VS Clermont Academy

The Junior Lelos headed to France on Monday, where they will hold two warm up match series with Top-14 club ASM Clermont Academy U18 and Espoirs teams, within the preparation period for U18 European Championship Elite Division.


The warm up series kicks off today - our team will play against ASM Clermont Academy side. KO - 8 pm, Georgian time. Before match The U18 Lelos held several trainings in the buildup of the match. According to the coaching staff, they will look forward to check  team’s defense play and to reveal the possible weak points.

„We are playing against quite a strong team, U18 Clermont Academy. We will pay attention to defense, as in both warm up matches during the training camp in Tbilisi camp, we didn’t have much chance for that. We will be looking at tackles, rucks and discipline” said the head coach David Chavleishvili.

The second warm up fixture against Clermont Espoirs will be held on the 21st of March.

Georgian U18 team will participate in European Championship Elite Division from March 26 to April 5. Junior Lelos will play their open fixture on 27th of March against their Irish peers.
