Weekend stories

  • The third phase of preparation completed
  • Team is in Bristol
  • 5 days to go until the first fixture
  • Diaries from England, Episode 1

Launched in Surrey Sports Park for the training camp from August 24, The Lelos wrapped up their third phase of preparation in Guildford yesterday and left for Bristol, where they will camp for the first two World Cup matches.

The Coaching staff released the team for three days until the end of the training camp just to recover their physical and mental strength after a long tiring phase. The Lelos held three warm-up matches earlier (against Falcons, Canada and Japan) and two joint trainings with Flying Fijis and Canada in Guildford.

Off to Bristol

Last night the team settled in Bristol and officially engaged in World Cup campaign. Our team bus designed with The Lelos logo, National colors and social media was a big surprise for boys. Also there was a photo shoot upon their arrival, just before The Lelos start their final trainings today.

To remind, The Lelos’ first RWC encounter between Tonga and Georgia will take place at Kingsholm Stadium, 15:00 (GT), September 19. All the matches of Rugby World Cup 2015 will be live broadcasted via Georgian Public broadcaster.
